Responsibilities

• Manage commercial claims of moderate to high complexity and exposure.
• Investigate and resolve claims per company protocols, maintaining quality and service standards.
• Communicate with customers and insureds regularly and provide updates.
• Verify coverage, reserve estimates, and liaise with coverage counsel on complex matters.
• Gather information, statements, and documents to verify facts of the claim.
• Develop relationships with internal and external partners to resolve claims.
• Authorize and ensure disbursements within authority and negotiate settlements as needed.
• Identify subrogation/salvage opportunities or potential fraud and refer authorities.
• Maintain compliance with state/local regulatory requirements and stay current on laws.
• Mentor less experienced claim professionals when needed.
