Follett Software is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist to manage customer collections across multiple entities and currencies. The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, timely payments, and professional, customer-focused communication while partnering with Accounts Receivable and billing teams.

The position is remote in the United States with overlapping hours to support global teams and requires strong attention to detail and excellent negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–8+ years of collections, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience.
• Experience managing collections, payments, refunds, and reconciliations.
• Experience with multi-currency customers and multiple entities is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional customer interactions.
• Ability to navigate difficult conversations and balance firmness with customer care.
• Proficient in ERP/accounts receivable systems; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers about outstanding balances and drive timely resolution.
• Process payments and refunds accurately and promptly; reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date records of collection efforts and customer commitments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to research unapplied cash and disputed balances.
• Upload invoices to portals and support multi-entity, multi-currency accounting.
