Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a COBOL Programmer with 8+ years of experience to support the AMS Edit Book Update process. This fully remote role within the United States requires the ability to obtain a USPS Public Trust clearance and strong COBOL/DB2 skills.

You will code, test, and research existing processes to meet project timelines, collaborate with SMEs, managers, and multimedia specialists, and create documentation for interfaces and ICDs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years COBOL & DB2 experience
• US Public Trust eligibility required
• Experience with Changeman for package creation and promotion

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements and determine solutions
• Develop, test, and document software changes
• Maintain documentation and data mapping for developers and testers
• Translate technical specs into clear non-technical requirements
• Create features and user stories with acceptance criteria
• Support incident response and change management processes
