FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY is seeking a Senior Coating Technician to join our Virginia operations. The role emphasizes field coating tasks, mentoring technicians, and hands-on supervision without direct daily oversight.

You will perform abrasive blasting, coating applications, and adhesion tests, while coordinating with foremen to ensure safety and quality on site. The position requires strong communication and leadership in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in high-performance coating applications.
• Trains others in abrasive blasting and coating processes.
• Competent Person trained: confined space, fall protection, silica, scaffolding.
• Ability to operate and maintain pump systems and spray equipment.
• Ability to safely drive a pickup with a trailer.

Responsibilities

• Identify where and when to perform abrasive blasting, water blasting, coating and tests.
• Lead STAC meetings and coach others.
• Communicate effectively with Foreman and Superintendent.
• Lead a team of laborers and technicians.
• Assess conditions and determine corrective action.
• Motivate team to perform.
• Observe and report conditions to supervisor.
