Job summary

Garney Construction seeks a Senior Coating Technician to oversee daily field tasks, perform coating operations, abrasive blasting, water blasting, injection grouting, and testing. You will train and mentor technicians and laborers, lead a team, and report conditions to supervisory staff.

The role emphasizes safety, communication with foreman and superintendent, and ability to troubleshoot equipment, drive a pickup with trailer, and participate in project planning meetings.

Responsibilities

• Identify where and when to perform abrasive blasting, water blasting, injection grouting, coatings, holiday test, and adhesion test
• Lead and coach others in STAC meetings
• Communicate effectively with the Foreman and Superintendent
• Lead a team of laborers and technicians when required
• Assess conditions and issues and determine corrective action
• Motivate the team to perform with a positive attitude
• Observe and report conditions and issues to supervisor
