Job summary

Garney is seeking a Senior Coating Technician to oversee daily field tasks and provide training for technicians and laborers. You will perform coating operations, inspections, and tests with minimal supervision in a dynamic field setting.

The role requires 3+ years of high-performance coating experience, strong safety training, and the ability to lead crews while coordinating with foremen and superintendents. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in high-performance coating applications.
• Ability to identify coating needs and select proper methods.
• Experience training and mentoring technicians and laborers.

Responsibilities

• Identify when to perform abrasive blasting, water blasting, injection grouting, coatings, holiday test, and adhesion test.
• Lead and coach others in STAC meetings.
• Communicate effectively with Foreman and Superintendent.
• Lead a team of laborers and technicians when required.
• Assess conditions and determine corrective action.
• Motivate the team to perform with a positive attitude.
• Observe and report conditions to supervisor.
