Job summary

Okuma America Corporation in Charlotte, NC seeks a Support Center Technician II to diagnose and resolve advanced machine tool issues, support warranty evaluations, and develop technical resources for distributors and customers.

The role combines hands-on troubleshooting with collaboration across Engineering, Service, and Parts teams; travel up to 25%; day shift; strong knowledge of CNC controls, schematics, and CRM systems is required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of machine tool service experience.
• Experience supporting Okuma CNC machine tools.
• Experience in a support center, call center, field service, or aftermarket service environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, and CNC control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex machine tool issues to minimize downtime and maximize customer productivity.
• Review machine and replacement parts warranty claims, evaluating documentation to determine warranty eligibility and approval.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs) to support self-service initiatives.
• Travel occasionally to distributor and customer sites to provide advanced technical assistance and training.
