Job summary

Okuma America Corporation in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Options Installation Technician II to install and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical options on Okuma-built machines, ensuring customer specifications are met and quality is maintained.

You will read electrical schematics and blueprints, work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and use hand tools, cranes, and forklifts to complete installations safely and on schedule, while collaborating with teammates to resolve issues and drive

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 to 5 years of manufacturing experience with a primary focus on electrical assembly, installation, or machine building.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Able to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical and mechanical options on Okuma-built machines to meet customer requirements and specifications.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to support installation and assembly activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software systems.
• Verify completed installations and perform quality checks to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
• Utilize a variety of hand tools, precision measuring equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to identify solutions and maintain project timelines.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment while adhering to all company policies and safety practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and add value.
