Job summary

Okuma America Corporation seeks an Options Installation Technician II to install electrical and mechanical options on Okuma-built machines and ensure they meet customer specifications. You will interpret schematics and blueprints, troubleshoot installations, and collaborate with the team to maintain timelines while following safety practices.

Associates degree and 2–5 years manufacturing experience required; on-site work in NC.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field, or equivalent combo of education and experience.
2–5 years of manufacturing experience with focus on electrical assembly, installation, or machine building.
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude; ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints; knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

Install electrical and mechanical options on Okuma-built machines to meet customer requirements.
Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and documentation to support installation and assembly.
Troubleshoot installation-related issues involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software systems.
Verify completed installations and perform quality checks for specifications.
Maintain a safe, organized work environment and support continuous improvement.
