Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced NC programmer to create and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis mills and lathes. You will develop machining strategies, set-up sheets, and collaborate with engineers to ensure partconformance and on-time delivery.

The role requires 4+ years in NC programming, strong GD&T reading, and experience with SS/Al alloys. Relocation support is available and safety is a core value at Blue Origin.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of NC programming experience.
• Excellent blueprint reading with GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994.
• Tools/fixture design experience.
• Set-up sheet creation and management.
• Cutter selection and cutter design as needed.
• Feed and speeds calculations.
• Experience with stainless steel and aluminum.
• DFMA
• Excellent communication.
• Self-motivated and able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Create NC programs for CNC Mills/Lathes and multi-axis equipment.
• Develop machining strategy from design data to produce machined hardware.
• Develop and manage set-up sheets.
• Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing engineers and machinists.
• Design custom tools and fixtures as needed.
• Provide DFMA feedback.
• Process improvements for machining inputs and admin processes.
• Conduct product acceptance per company policy.
• Maintain configuration control on files and job records.
• Safely work within an industrial environment.
