Blue Origin, based in Washington, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to create NC programs for CNC Mills, Lathes, and multi-axis machines used in aerospace components. You will develop machining strategies, manage set-up sheets, and collaborate with engineers and machinists to ensure tight tolerance parts meet engineering requirements.

The role emphasizes design-for-manufacturing and new product introduction with a focus on safety, quality, and first article success.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of NC programming experience.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and GD&T per ASME Y14.5M.
• Experience in tool and fixture design.
• Experience creating and managing set-up sheets.
• Cutter selection/design knowledge.
• Compute feeds and speeds effectively.
• Experience with stainless steel and aluminum alloys.
• DFMA awareness and application.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with precision hand tools and PC usage.

Responsibilities

• Create NC programs for CNC Mills/Lathes/Multi-axis machines.
• Develop machining strategies from design data to machined hardware.
• Develop and manage set-up sheets.
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists to meet specs.
• Design tools and fixtures as needed.
• Provide DFMA feedback to improve manufacturability.
• Drive process improvements in machining and admin workflows.
• Ensure product acceptance per company policy.
• Maintain configuration control on files and records.
• Work safely in an industrial setting.
