Job summary

Jobsonboard seeks an experienced CNC Machinist with Wire EDM expertise in Knoxville, TN. The role involves setting up, programming, and running CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines to produce high-precision components while upholding quality and safety standards.

You will read blueprints and GD&T, edit G-Code, and perform in-process and final inspections with precision measuring tools. A strong independent work ethic is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on Wire EDM experience.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Proficiency in programming and editing G-Code.
• Experience with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T drawings.
• Strong shop math and trigonometry skills.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines.
• Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code at machine controls.
• Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
