Job summary

Jobsonboard in Knoxville, TN is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with Wire EDM expertise to join our manufacturing team. The role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines, reading blueprints, and maintaining tight tolerances.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of experience, experience with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls, and proficiency in G-code. This full-time position offers growth within a growing operation and a supportive team

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience.
Hands-on experience with Wire EDM machinery.
Strong experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
Proficiency in programming and editing G-Code.
Experience working with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T drawings.
Strong shop math and trigonometry skills.
Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines.
Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code programs at machine controls.
Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
