Job summary

Jobsonboard in Knoxville, TN is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with Wire EDM experience to join our manufacturing team. You will set up, operate, and program CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of experience, proficiency with G-code, Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls, and the ability to work independently while maintaining quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on experience with Wire EDM machinery.
• Strong experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Proficiency in programming and editing G-Code.
• Experience working with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T drawings.
• Strong shop math and trigonometry skills.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines.
• Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code programs at machine controls.
• Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
