Job summary

JoB Training & Coaching in Knoxville, TN is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines to produce high-precision components.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of Wire EDM experience, proficiency with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls, GD&T literacy, and the ability to read blueprints and perform inspections in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on experience with Wire EDM machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T drawings.
• Proficiency in G-Code programming.
• Experience with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.
• Strong shop math and trigonometry skills.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines.
• Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code programs at machine controls.
• Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
