Job summary

TECOMET in Langhorne, PA is seeking a CNC Machinist III to operate, set up, and possibly program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and CNC lathes to exact tolerances, following engineering drawings.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot CNC programs, improve work instructions, and support continuous improvement while upholding GMP/GDP and safety standards. A GED or high school diploma and 5+ years of CNC machining experience are required; an associate degree or machinist apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associates degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Maths and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDM's, and CNC lathes within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings.
• Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling in machines as part of the new setup.
• Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of a variety of parts and different metals where very close tolerances must be maintained.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot and understand CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work Instructions.
• Assist Engineering with redesigning fixtures to increase quality standards and productivity.
