Job summary

TECOMET is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist III to operate, set up, and potentially program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and lathes in a fast-paced environment. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot programs, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining OOQ quality and safety standards.

Role requires strong math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to train others. This on-site Pennsylvania position emphasizes productivity targets and safe working practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years CNC machining experience.
• Associates degree or apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and CNC lathes within tolerances.
• Propose new setups and change offsets/tooling in machines.
• Perform difficult CNC work with very close tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work instructions.
• Assist engineering with fixtures and tooling improvements.
• Ensure product quality using OOQ standards and various measuring equipment.
• Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for different machining needs.
• Perform routine maintenance per PM schedule and daily checklists.
• Record activities on the job tracking system.
• Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities.
