Job summary

TECOMET in New Jersey seeks a CNC Machinist III to operate, set up, and possibly program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and lathes. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot CNC programs, and maintain quality per OOQ standards while meeting productivity targets.

Strong math skills, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential. Responsibilities include setting up tooling and offsets, performing routine maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Maths and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDM's, and CNC lathes within specified tolerances.
• Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling in machines.
• Perform difficult CNC machining with close tolerances on varied parts and metals.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot and understand CNC programs and processes.
• Ensure quality via OOQ standards and use measuring equipment to interpret readings.
• Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for different machining needs.
• Maintain daily PM schedules and perform routine maintenance.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
