Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist III to operate, set up, and program CNC mills, lathes and Wire EDMs. You will read blueprints, run multiple machines, and help improve tooling and fixtures while maintaining OOQ quality standards.

The role emphasizes safe, efficient production, routine PMs, and documenting activities. A minimum 5 years’ experience with strong math, communication, and teamwork is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years CNC machining experience.
• Reading blueprints and engineering drawings is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and lathes within tolerances.
• Propose new setups and adjust offsets/tooling as part of the setup.
• Perform difficult CNC work with very close tolerances on various metals.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes; identify and implement improvements.
• Maintain quality via OOQ standards and use measurement equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance per PM schedule and complete paperwork
• Assist engineering with fixture redesigns and tooling adjustments as needed
• Record activities in the job tracking system; support continuous improvement
• Train new or junior machinists; maintain a safe work environment
