Job summary

Valcor Engineering Corporation seeks an experienced machinist to perform complex progressive machining, fitting and assembly operations from blueprints and instructions. You will determine tooling, sequences, and fixtures, and set up machines to achieve precise part production.

The role requires proficiency with advanced shop math and multiple measurement instruments, plus the ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Requires completion of an apprenticeship program or approximately four years of on‑the‑job experience or at least five years as a machinist.
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machining centers and other tools to produce parts to specifications.
Use shop math, geometry and trigonometry for precise computations.
Select appropriate jigs/fixtures and tools; determine operation sequences.
Coordinate with team to ensure safe, efficient production and quality control.
