Job summary

Valcor Engineering in New Jersey seeks an experienced machinist who can set up and perform complex progressive machining, fitting and assembly tasks from blueprints and verbal instructions. You will determine tooling, sequences, and fixtures, operate CNC centers and grinders, and use precision inspection tools to meet tight tolerances.

A high school diploma and apprenticeship or 4–5 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or ~4–5 years machining experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers and other equipment to produce parts.
• Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Determine tooling, sequences, jigs, fixtures and tool design as required.
• Move parts between work areas and maintain shop cleanliness.
• Follow all safety rules and company policies.
