ST Engineering MRAS, based in Maryland, seeks a skilled CNC Machinist P1 to set up and run multi-axis machines, load fixtures and tools, and ensure dimensional accuracy across production lots. The role requires familiarity with NC programs, GD&T, and precision metrology, with readiness to work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of relevant CNC machine operator experience or a trade school certificate with 2 years in CNC roles.
• Working knowledge of methods and techniques used in machine operations and in setting up NC machines.
• Familiar with machine shop fundamentals: tolerances, sketches, drawings, and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines, load and preset tools to proper torque values and ensure machine accuracy.
• Verify fixtures, tooling, and NC programs before production; monitor quality and dimensions throughout runs.
• Document actions and maintain logs; communicate machine status to shifts, staff, and supervision.
• Operate and troubleshoot 5-axis gantry mills and multi-axis equipment; ensure safe handling and cleanup.
