Job summary

Staffing Support Specialists is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Programmer to develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines. You will translate engineering drawings into precise machining instructions and set up equipment to validate new programs.

Collaborating with machinists and engineers, you will troubleshoot issues, maintain a library of programs, and drive quality improvements and cycle-time reductions in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• 5+ years CNC programming and operation experience.
• Proficient in G-code and CAM software.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and CAD drawings.
• Experience with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, CMMs).
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Write, revise, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
• Translate engineering drawings and 3D models into machining instructions.
• Set up CNC machines to validate programs.
• Perform test runs and adjust programs to achieve results.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control to ensure product conformity.
• Maintain program library and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce cycle time and scrap.
• All other related duties as assigned.
