Qualifications

• Clear communication of optional or hard stops for handoff when absent personnel.
• Assembles or fabricates part set-ups and operates machine tools per drawings or sketches.
• Knows mechanics, shop math, material machinability, and use of edge finders and indicators.
• Studies blueprints and tolerances to determine dimensions, tooling, and sequences.
• Verifies piece conformance using calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Generates CNC machine documentation from drawings and sketches.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or fabricate part setups and operate machine tools to spec.
• Input data into CNC machines from drawings and sketches to produce hardware.
• Maintain shop safety and keep work area clean; report safety issues.
• Communicate clearly during handoffs when personnel are unavailable.
