Job summary

ST Engineering MRAS is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to set up, program, and operate precision CNC equipment, including multi-axis machines, to process jobs from NC setup documents and fixtures.

The role requires 3–4 years of CNC experience (or a 2-year trade school), HS Diploma/GED, and strong reading of drawings, GD&T, and tol­erance calculations. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma / GED equivalent.
• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant CNC Machine Operator experience or a 2-year trade school certificate.
• Working knowledge of machine operations and setting up/operating NC machines.
• Understanding of machine shop concepts and tolerances.
• Ability to read sketches, drawings, and specifications; read calipers, height gauge, vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines, load and preset cutting tools to proper torque values.
• Ensure fixtures, tooling, and NC programs are correct before processing.
• Verify part conformance to dimensions and specifications during runs.
• Document actions in production and quality logs; communicate machine status and tool life.
• Mentor less experienced staff on CNC operations and tooling.
