Job summary

Klein Tools in Mansfield, TX seeks a Manufacturing Team Member VI to set up and operate multi-axis CNC milling/grinding/lathe equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure part quality. You will read blueprints, perform offsets, and document production metrics while supporting lean initiatives.

Strong attention to detail, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to work overtime as needed are required. High school diploma with related experience is expected; CNC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, and seven (7) years of related experience is required.
• CNC certification or metalworking/tooling certification preferred.
• Knowledge in operating CNC, milling, or grinding machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust multi-axis CNC milling/grinding/lathe or other semi-automated equipment per instructions to produce quality parts.
• Inspect product for quality during production using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and log findings.
• Read work orders and blueprints to verify specifications and bill of materials; ensure inventory accuracy.
• Perform offsets and adjustments to program, machine feed, speed, and axes to maintain tolerances.
• Troubleshoot major machine issues and replace or adjust tooling as needed.
• Perform machine set ups including fixtures, tooling, and program selection.
• Maintain 6S standards and participate in lean manufacturing activities.
• Cross-train across machines and work areas; perform other duties as assigned.
