Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Manufacturing Team Member V to set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling/grinding/lathe and related equipment. You will inspect parts, read work orders/blueprints, and adjust machine parameters to maintain quality and productivity.

The role requires reading English, math/measurement skills, and teamwork. You’ll participate in 6S and lean activities, cross-train across shifts, and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred; five years of related experience required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Ability to learn, problem-solve, and make decisions per work instructions and documents.
• Read work orders and blueprints to identify specifications and ensure materials are accurate.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on multi-axis CNC milling/grinding/lathe, furnace, or other semi-automated equipment per work instructions to produce quality parts.
• Inspect product for quality throughout production using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and log downtime and notes.
• Read orders and blueprints to ensure proper setup and BOM accuracy; update inventory accordingly.
• Perform offsets and adjustments to machine feed, speed, and axis points to meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot machine issues; replace, reset, and sharpen tooling as needed.
• Set up machines, change fixtures and tooling, and load programs.
• Perform general machine maintenance and check oil/coolant levels.
• Record production counts, scrap, and labor hours; follow 6S and lean practices.
• Cross-train across machines and duties; perform other tasks as assigned.
