Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Manufacturing Team Member VI to operate and oversee multi-axis CNC milling/grinding/lathe and related semi-automated equipment. You will monitor performance, adjust feeds and speeds, and troubleshoot issues to meet quality standards.

The role requires reading blueprints and work orders, inspecting parts, and documenting production data while supporting lean manufacturing and cross-training across machines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, and seven (7) years of related experience is required.
• CNC certification or metalworking/tooling certification preferred.
• Knowledge in operating CNC, milling, or grinding machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on CNC milling/grinding/lathe or semi-automated equipment per instructions to produce quality parts.
• Inspect product for quality during production using calipers, micrometers, gauges; log downtime and communications.
• Read work orders and blueprints to identify specifications and ensure BOM accuracy and inventory transactions.
• Perform offsets and machine parameter adjustments to maintain part quality.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and replace/adjust tooling as needed.
• Perform machine set ups, change fixtures, tooling bars, and load programs.
• Maintain general machine maintenance and check oil/coolant levels.
• Record production counts, scrap, and labor hours; participate in lean manufacturing activities.
• Cross-train by rotating to different machines and work areas; perform other duties as assigned.
