Job summary
Blue Origin is seeking a Senior CNC Machining and CAM Automation Engineer to join the Advanced Manufacturing Group in multiple US locations (Huntsville, AL; Space Coast, FL; Kent, WA). You will develop and deploy advanced machining processes, CNC automation, and CAM software to enable high-rate rocket fabrication.
You will lead software development for CNC programming, postprocessors, and CAD/CAM integrations, collaborating with machinists and engineers to drive safety, quality, and efficiency
Qualifications
- 7+ years in a CNC machining manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with CAM systems and CNC programming.
- Experience in software development and/or CNC postprocessor development and CAM software customization.
Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, customize, and support software solutions for CNC programming and machining automation.
- Drive adoption of efficiency tools including AI/ML, in-process probing and adaptive machining.
- Develop and deploy CNC postprocessors and machine code simulation; support CAD/CAM/PLM integrations.
- Collaborate with engineers to scale machining automation and provide hands-on support on the shop floor.
