Job summary

Good Samaritan Society – Mandan Sunset is seeking a Senior Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a 128-bed long-term care facility. The role requires CNA certification, a high school diploma or GED, and a commitment to infection control and resident well-being.

The position features an evening shift (2:00pm–10:15pm) with every other weekend and rotating holidays, full-time status, and a potential drive-related requirement.

Qualifications

• Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing.
• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• May be required to complete Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.
• For applicable states, may be registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, feeding) per care plan.
• Measure and record vital signs; assist with transfers and mobility.
• Provide psychosocial support and companionship; maintain infection control and PPE use.
• Document resident interactions and report changes to the charge nurse.
