Job summary

Good Samaritan Society - Mandan Sunset is seeking a Senior Nursing Assistant to provide experienced, compassionate care in a 128-bed long-term care setting. You will support residents with daily living activities under RN supervision, document care, and assist with restorative programs.

The role emphasizes infection control, teamwork, and high-quality service in a faith-based nonprofit environment. A CNA certification and state-level training are required.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing.
• Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Maintains yearly competency testing and continuing education credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Monitor and record vital signs, gather non-invasive specimens, and document outcomes.
• Assist with meals and dining to ensure a positive dining experience for residents.
• Support wellness and recreational activities and assist with restorative nursing programs as needed.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the charge nurse and complete required documentation.
