Job summary

The Senior Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Society - Mandan Sunset provides resident-centered care in a 128-bed long-term care setting, working 2:00pm–10:15pm with every other weekend and rotating holidays. You will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, documentation, and coordination with the nursing team under RN supervision.

The role emphasizes infection control and compassionate, respectful care.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits.
• May be required to complete Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.
• May be certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates expert level CNA care under RN supervision.
• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Documents resident interactions and outcomes related to care and behavior.
• Assists with transfers, mobility, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Supports nutrition, hydration, and dining experiences for residents.
• Maintains infection prevention and control policies and PPE use.
