Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer/Inspector to support prototype builds within the SWORD Prototype Group. The role emphasizes planning, programming, and executing inspection methods to ensure dimensional accuracy of aerospace components.

You will work with CMM, optical comparators, and vision systems, bridging design intent with GD&T. The position requires 10+ years in dimensional inspection and 7+ years in CMM programming.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace components, blades or equivalent.
• A minimum of 7 years in CMM programming and operation.
• A minimum of 7 years in high-mix, low volume machining environment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide actionable inspection and validation feedback to design, engineering, and manufacturing through product lifecycle.
• Prepare and execute inspection plans using CMM, optical comparators, vision systems, etc.
• Program, setup and operate CMM and other inspection systems.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
