Job summary
Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced Quality Inspection Technician to support aerospace components through CMM and manual measurements. You will use PC-DMIS to program and operate CMMs, read complex blueprints with GD&T, and ensure inspection data is accurate for flight-critical hardware.
The role requires strong communication, a focus on safety, and the ability to provide timely feedback to engineers and machinists while maintaining strict configuration control and non-conformance
Qualifications
- 4+ years of dimensional inspection experience on aerospace components.
- Experience with CMM programming and operation.
- Strong blueprint reading with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 quality systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare data analysis templates for inspection in Excel.
- Perform CMM and manual layout inspections.
- Inspect machined and received components using design data.
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Provide dimensional feedback to machinists and engineers.
- Document non-conformances and estimate inspection times.
- Support process improvements and maintain configuration control.
