Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the Operations team. The role focuses on CMM inspections and Laser Radar measurements to ensure part conformance to drawings and specs.

You will work independently and with others to maintain high-quality standards across manufactured components. Responsibilities include operating CMMs, developing inspection programs, reading engineering drawings, and documenting inspection results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CMM Certification preferred; ability to program and operate CMMs.
• Strong reading of engineering drawings and specs.
• Proficient with PC-DMIS, Calypso or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Operate the CMM to measure parts within tolerances.
• Use Nikon LR and other devices to measure reflective parts.
• Develop or modify CMM inspection programs.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications for inspections.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections and document results.
• Record data, generate reports, and identify issues.
• Assist with quality control and problem solving.
