Job summary

Applied Aerospace & Defense in Manchester, CT seeks a CMM Programmer/Inspector to support critical aerospace components. You will develop and manage CMM inspection programs, identify parts for measurement, and ensure compliance with GD&T and customer specs.

You will work across Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing, provide coaching to QC staff, and drive process improvements while maintaining a safe, light industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in programming, operation and full utilization of CMM equipment.
• Experience with Modus and Camio preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication with Engineering, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Ability to train QC personnel in CMM operation.
• Familiarity with GD&T and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Identify product for CMM inspection.
• Develop/write part inspection programs for CMM.
• Organize and control CMM inspection programs.
• Troubleshoots product issues and supports manufacturing.
• Oversee dimensional inspection on CMM.
• Identify and recommend process improvements.
• Interact with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing.
• Perform validation activities related to CMM inspection programs.
• Perform CMM inspection on critical aerospace components.
