Blue Origin is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to develop hardware in collaboration with Engineering and to fabricate high-precision components for aerospace applications.

The role involves five-axis machining, setup, inspection, and process documentation across multiple machine tools. Candidates should excel in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and maintain strict safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machining.
• 10+ years of experience with manual mill and lathe.
• 7+ years of experience with NX. Full understanding of GD&T and the tools to execute inspection.
• Thrive in a constantly evolving environment.
• Ability to take on challenges with incomplete information and pivot to drive progress.
• Work well in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware in parallel and in collaboration with Engineering.
• Machine product from cradle to grave: evaluate, select work-holding & tooling, program, setup, machine and inspect, while communicating with design teams throughout the entire life cycle.
• Programming, set up and machining of 3, 4 and 5 axis mills, multi-axis lathes, and development of critical machining processes.
• Operation of other equipment as required, both NC controlled and manual.
• Working with engineering to document and standardize production processes.
• Partner with leadership and engineering to prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals.
• Ensure product quality and conformance to engineering specifications.
• Perform daily maintenance and regular cleaning of machinery and equipment.
• Perform all tasks in safe and responsible manner.
