Job summary

ASM Research, an Accenture Federal Services company, seeks an IT Configuration Manager to govern configuration items across enterprise IT. You will manage the CMDB, enforce ITIL-based policies, and integrate data with change, incident, and problem workflows to support critical services.

You will lead audits, optimize CMDB capabilities in ServiceNow, and deliver reports for risk assessments in highly regulated environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT related field.
• 8+ years in configuration management or CMDB roles.
• Hands-on with CMDB tools like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
• Strong analytical, organizational and project-management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with multiple teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to obtain SECRET clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CMDB data model, class structures and relationships.
• Establish and enforce configuration management policies and naming conventions.
• Integrate CM data with change, incident and problem workflows for impact analysis.
• Conduct configuration audits and remediation with owning teams.
• Collaborate with platform admins to optimize CMDB in ServiceNow or similar tools.
• Produce reports and visualizations for capacity planning and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with ITIL processes to keep data accurate throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead CMDB initiatives across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
