Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Cloud Technical Account Manager for Financial Services in New York. This role focuses on serving Global Financial Services customers across capital markets, insurance and banking, acting as the principal technical advisor and voice of the customer within AWS Enterprise Support.

You will work with engineers to resolve issues, craft renewal strategies, ensure operational health, and guide customers on adopting AWS services and generative AI solutions. Travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of distributed applications design/implementation/operations/consulting.
• 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
• Experience in information technology operations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline; 7+ years of equivalent work experience or 9+ years total experience.

Responsibilities

• Not directly hands-on in the customer environment; coordinate with engineers to resolve issues.
• Lead proactive AWS Unified Operations (UOps) strategies to drive adoption of AWS services.
• Represent AWS in customer environments with technical acumen and customer-facing skills.
• Engage senior leadership on incidents, trade-offs, regulatory requirements, support and risk management.
• Provide guidance to plan and build solutions using best practices and runbooks; use AI tools to accelerate resolution.
• Travel 10% or more as needed.
