Job summary

EY is seeking a senior cloud engineering professional to lead AI-enabled services' secure, observable, and cost-aware cloud foundations. You will guide architecture, resilience, and performance across multiple use cases, using AI-assisted tools to accelerate infrastructure work.

This role requires deep cloud expertise, hands-on coding, and strong leadership to raise engineering capability within a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 9–12+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and operating cloud, infrastructure, platform, or site reliability capabilities in production.
• Proven ability to solve complex distributed-system problems.
• Hands-on expertise with infrastructure as code, modern runtime platforms, networking, identity, and delivery automation.

Responsibilities

• Build shared cloud foundations and deployment automation for rapid, consistent startup.
• Use AI-assisted engineering to accelerate development while reviewing and validating results.
• Review architectures, migrations, and releases, considering reliability, security, performance, and cost.
• Define evidence for production readiness and identify changes needed when services are not ready.
• Establish service objectives, observability standards, alerts, and operational reviews.
• Test workload assumptions and use performance data to guide scaling and architecture decisions.
• Lead deep investigations of failures across distributed services and test durable fixes.
• Design performance tests, recovery exercises, and rollback paths to show resilience.
• Publish reference implementations, guidance, and runbooks with clear use and limitations.
• Coach engineers and transfer capabilities to ongoing owners.
