Job summary

EY seeks a senior cloud/reliability engineer to lead AI-enabled infrastructure work, defining resilient architectures and production-ready practices. You will guide complex designs, review deployments, and ensure cost-aware, observable cloud foundations across multiple use cases.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, mentorship, and building reusable capabilities for ongoing owners while navigating hybrid environments and travel requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 9+ years of relevant experience in cloud, infrastructure, platform, or site reliability in production.
• Proven ability to design and operate cloud and reliability capabilities.
• Hands-on expertise with infrastructure as code, modern runtimes, networking, identity, and automation.
• Experience defining service objectives and improving live systems via observability and recovery testing.
• Strong coding skills and ability to validate AI-generated output independently.

Responsibilities

• Build shared cloud foundations and deployment automation to accelerate teams.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering while reviewing, debugging, and validating code.
• Review architectures, migrations, and releases for reliability and cost trade-offs.
• Define evidence for production readiness and scale services safely.
• Establish service objectives, observability, and operational reviews.
• Test workload assumptions and guide scaling decisions with performance data.
• Lead deep investigations of failures and implement durable fixes.
• Design resilience tests and rollback paths for stressed services.
• Publish reference implementations and runbooks for reuse across teams.
• Coach engineers and transfer capabilities to ongoing owners.
