Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled backend-focused Senior Software Engineer to join our modernization team, building a cloud-native platform for critical patient and drug data. You will design, develop, and maintain microservices and data pipelines at scale.

You'll work with GCP services, implement CI/CD, and collaborate with Data Scientists to integrate ML/NLP models into production workflows, ensuring security and performance in a large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building data pipelines or backend data workflows.
• 2+ years designing REST/GraphQL data services.
• 2+ years cloud platform experience (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• 2+ years IaC experience (Terraform preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for analytics and ML.
• Develop data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows with Python and SQL.
• Build batch and streaming pipelines using Kafka or similar.
• Work with GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Spanner, Cloud Functions).
• Develop and manage data APIs (REST and GraphQL) for microservices.
• Implement CI/CD automation for data pipelines (GitHub Actions, Argo CD).
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and MLOps to integrate ML models.
• Ensure observability and data quality, logging ML predictions and confidence scores.
