Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead design and development of scalable cloud-native solutions using Java/JEE, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and Kafka.

You will contribute to data migration, ETL pipelines, and healthcare data management, leveraging GCP and HL7/FHIR standards while driving engineering rigor, secure DevSecOps practices, and API governance across teams.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Java/JEE, Spring Boot, RESTful microservices and Kafka.
• Experience with data migration, ETL pipelines and data management.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and cloud-native design.
• Strong engineering rigor, leadership presence, and DevSecOps mindset.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop high-performance microservices using Java/JEE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud
• Lead development of event-driven services using Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, streaming patterns)
• Own API strategy for RESTful services with backward-compatible versioning and governance
• Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards and reviews
• Design ETL pipelines and lead data migration efforts to cloud platforms
