Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead design and development of scalable, secure cloud-native solutions using Java/JEE, Spring Boot, and Kafka. You will work on data migration, ETL pipelines, and healthcare data management within a HIPAA-conscious, DevSecOps oriented team.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with GCP, HL7/FHIR standards, and a strong leadership presence to mentor engineers and shape architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years with Java/JEE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, RESTful microservices.
• 3+ years Apache Kafka.
• 3+ years CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, automated testing.
• 3+ years Docker, Kubernetes, cloud orchestration.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop high-performance microservices using Java/JEE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
• Lead development of event-driven services using Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, streaming patterns, schema evolution).
• Own API strategy for RESTful services, ensuring consistent JSON modeling and versioning.
• Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards and reviews.
