Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Engineering team. Design, build robust and scalable data pipelines using a cloud-native data stack; partner with stakeholders and fellow engineers to enable analytics and BI solutions.

You will work across data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and performance tuning, ensuring reliable data delivery and high-quality data products for business insights. This is a hybrid role with multiple hub locations and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases.
3+ years of experience in cloud data engineering platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake).
3+ years of experience with on-prem data engineering platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata).
Programming in SQL, Python, PySpark for cloud and on‑prem data warehousing.
Dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing experience.
Troubleshooting data issues in complex environments.
Experience with performance improvement techniques and optimizations.
Ability to own initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable, cloud-native data pipelines for analytics and BI.
Partner with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver robust solutions.
Own end-to-end data lifecycle from modeling to ETL/ELT and performance tuning.
