Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and secure our AWS-based healthcare credentialing platform. You will own Linux administration, Windows Server management, on-prem Nutanix, container platforms, and SSL/TLS lifecycle, while supporting CI/CD and automation.

This remote role requires 5+ years in Cloud/DevOps, deep AWS knowledge, and strong Python scripting. You will collaborate across teams, handle on-call duties, and help ensure HITRUST and SOC 2

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems administration.
• 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Expert-level Linux administration and strong Windows Server administration skills.
• Strong Python development skills for automation and AWS integrations.
• Experience with on-prem Nutanix Prism/Prism Central and storage/networking basics.
• Experience with SSL/TLS certificate management and SMTP relay.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, Systems Manager).
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD pipelines for containers.
• Administer Linux and Windows Server environments across on-premises and cloud
• Maintain Nutanix Prism environments (health, VM management, capacity planning, upgrades)
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager
• Own SSL/TLS certificate renewals and installation across IIS, Linux, and AWS; automate renewals
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting; participate in on-call; support HITRUST and SOC2 compliance
