Verisys is seeking a hands‑on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, secure, and scale our AWS‑based infrastructure behind a healthcare credentialing platform. The role blends cloud engineering with systems administration across Linux, Windows, on‑prem Nutanix, containers, and SSL/TLS management.

Remote role, but you must reside in approved states. Expect ownership, cross‑functional work, and a fast‑paced environment that values adaptability and strong automation skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Linux SME for provisioning, hardening, patching, and troubleshooting across physical, virtual and cloud servers.
• Administer Windows Server environment including AD, DNS/DHCP, and IIS both on‑prem and EC2.
• Nutanix on‑premises cluster health, AHV VM management, capacity planning, upgrades, and data protection.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager.
• Own SSL/TLS certificate renewals and installation across IIS, Linux web servers, Postfix, and AWS.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting; participate in on‑call and HITRUST/SOC 2 compliance.
• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering/DevOps/SRE and 3+ years AWS production experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Serve as the Linux subject matter expert across systems and clouds.
• Administer Windows Server environment (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, IIS) on‑prem and EC2.
• Administer Nutanix Prism Element/Central, AHV VM management, capacity planning, upgrades.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Systems Manager.
• Own SSL/TLS certificate renewals and installation across IIS, Linux, Postfix, and AWS.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting; participate in on‑call; HITRUST and SOC 2 compliance.
