Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, and scale our healthcare credentialing platform on AWS. The role blends DevOps, systems administration, and on-prem/Nutanix expertise in a largely remote setting.

You will lead infrastructure-as-code, container platforms, and certificate management while collaborating on security, reliability, and HITRUST compliance. Location is remote within allowed US states.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or sysadmin roles with 3+ years on AWS production workloads.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong Linux admin skills and Windows Server administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS) focusing on security, cost, and DR.
• Manage infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Run container workloads on ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher Cattle clusters.
• Lead Linux provisioning, hardening, patching, and performance tuning; manage Windows Server and AD/DNS/DHCP/IIS.
• Administer on-prem Nutanix Prism Element/Prism Central; AHV VM management and capacity planning.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager.
