Job summary

Verisys seeks an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to build, secure, and scale our healthcare credentialing platform. You will own AWS-based infrastructure, Linux expertise, and on-prem Nutanix management, while moving between cloud engineering, systems administration, and evolving business needs.

The role is remote with state restrictions; candidates must reside in allowed states and possess strong DevOps focus, security, and automation skills to support HITRUST/SOC2 compliance

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, and/or systems administration with 3+ years on production workloads in AWS.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• Experience designing and operating secure AWS infrastructure with automation and IaC.
• Experience administering Windows Server and Linux in hybrid and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch).
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD pipelines for containers.
• Run containerized workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher Cattle clusters.
• Administer Linux and Windows Server environments, including AD, DNS/DHCP, IIS, and on-prem Nutanix.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay infrastructure and SSL/TLS certificate management across platforms.
