Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to design, secure, and scale the infrastructure behind our healthcare credentialing platform.

The role is remote in the United States, requiring strong Linux and Windows server administration, on-prem Nutanix experience, and solid scripting with Python, PowerShell, and Bash. You will own SSL/TLS cert management, monitoring, and compliance readiness while collaborating with a small, fast-moving team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems administration, with 3+ years on production AWS workloads.
• Deep AWS expertise with a security, networking, and cost-awareness focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, Systems Manager).
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD pipelines for container builds and deployments.
• Serve as Linux SME: provisioning, hardening, patching, performance tuning across physical, virtual, and cloud servers.
